Help Restore the Roost!
On April 24th, there was a fire at the HEART Village, located at Warner University in Lake Wales. “HEART” stands for Hunger Education And Resource Training and is an interdenominational training center designed to prepare people to live and serve effectively in developing communities around the world.
The fire completely destroyed the village's brooder shed and all the chickens and ducks were lost. We are collecting donations to help Restore the Roost. There will be a basket on the Welcome Table at the back of the Sanctuary for your contributions.
Please make checks payable to FUMC and designate HEART.

GeriActives July Outing
It’s time to share what the GeriActives will be doing to celebrate our country’s SEMIQUINCENTENNIAL. There are SO many things happening in Polk County, we found it challenging to choose just one activity! We finally decided we would stay close to home this month. On Thursday, July 2nd, we will be heading to Regal Movie Theatre at the Eagle Ridge Mall to see the new movie, Young Washington - Young George Washington's honor, loyalty, and courage are tested in a global conflict. The untold story of George Washington's early life, and the founding of a nation. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LJek-kc384w)
Following the movie, we’ll continue our All-American celebration with barbecue at Woody’s Bar-B-Q (19501 US Highway 27)

3:10 Meet at FUMCLW in the grassy parking lot if you want to carpool (please let me know to look for you), otherwise, we will see you at the theater
3:30 Meet at Regal and purchase your tickets for the 3:45 showing of Young Washington
6:30 Dinner at Woody’s Bar-B-Q

Sign Language Class!
Join the class and learn sign language in a fun and supportive environment! No prior experience needed—everyone is welcome to participate and practice communication through sign.
Carolyn McCullough leads the class every Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall.
