On April 24th, there was a fire at the HEART Village, located at Warner University in Lake Wales. “HEART” stands for Hunger Education And Resource Training and is an interdenominational training center designed to prepare people to live and serve effectively in developing communities around the world.

The fire completely destroyed the village's brooder shed and all the chickens and ducks were lost. We are collecting donations to help Restore the Roost. There will be a basket on the Welcome Table at the back of the Sanctuary for your contributions.

Zoe Empowers works with vulnerable youth and their families impacted by the global orphan crisis. 

Through a three-year, locally-led program, participants become safe and healthy, skilled for long-term success, and able to lead meaningful lives within a supportive community providing them with a positive impact.

On Sunday, May 17th, our speaker during the worship service will be Beth Potter, the Congregation Vitality Specialist from our Gulf Central District Office. She will share Zoe's philosophy, stories, and visuals from their work. 

During our Potluck following the service, Beth will be able to share tangible items made by the "kids" and more personal stories while interacting with our congregation.

We are having a potluck luncheon following the worship service on Sunday, May 17th. This will allow people to visit with Beth Potter about Zoe Empowers.

We are going to do things a bit differently for this potluck. We are NOT ordering Publix chicken, so if folks have a “meat” dish they’ve been wanting to try, this is the time to bring it. Of course, we still want all our usual delicious veggies, salads and desserts.

Every May, the GeriActives hosts a Ladies' Luncheon in honor of Mother's Day. This year's luncheon will be May 16 at 11:00 a.m.at the new tea room in downtown Lake Wales, Lady B's Tea Parlour (205 E. Stuart).

Bring a photo of your mom and be ready to share a little bit of her story with the group.

Every Wednesday - 5:30 P.M. - Room 103 with Reverend Bill! The group learns about and discusses the scripture for the coming Sunday!

Park in the grassy lot in the back of the church and enter through the back door!

Join the class and learn sign language in a fun and supportive environment! No prior experience needed—everyone is welcome to participate and practice communication through sign.

Carolyn McCullough leads the class every Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall.

Join us Thursdays at 8:45 as the children learn Bible stories and songs to praise the Lord!

The children will be invited to our December 14th service to sign Jesus Loves Me with our signing group
